Brian received his PhD in Clinical Psychology from Palo Alto University in 2019. His research interests include risk factors for the development and maintenance of mental health issues following military deployment, and has authored several articles and presentations on the topic. Brian has previously held positions with Stanford Psychiatry, the VA Palo Alto Health Care System, and the Walter Reed Army Institute of Research (WRAIR). His clinical work centers on the treatment of PTSD and other post-deployment disorders in returning Veterans. He completed his pre-doctoral internship at the Washington D.C. VA Medical Center and is currently a postdoctoral fellow with the VA Maryland Health Care System, specializing in Trauma/PTSD. Brian recently accepted a full-time PTSD staff psychologist position at the VA Maryland and will begin this role in Fall 2020. Brian is an active member of APA Division 18 (Psychologists in Public Service), Division 19 (Military Psychology), and ISTSS. 

Jessica Walsh received her B.A. (Honors) in Social Studies from Harvard College in 2010 and her M.Sc. Psychology from the University of East London in 2013. In 2014 she began the Clinical Psychology Ph.D. program at Palo Alto University, specializing in the Trauma Area of Emphasis. From 2010 to 2014, she was employed as a research assistant at the Tavistock Centre on the Child and Family Refugee Team, the London Veterans Assessment and Treatment Service, and at the Imperial College London's Neuroepidemiology and Aging Research Lab, London, England. Her research interests involve moral injury, the psychology of terrorism, and trauma, particularly amongst older adults and veterans. She is co-chair of APA division 52's (International Psychology) Advocacy Committee, and a member of APA division 56 (Trauma Psychology) and Division 19 (Military Psychology). She is also former Co-President of Palo Alto University's Association for Traumatic Stress Studies and a former Research Officer for the Association for Global Mental Health. Jessica first-authored a journal article on financial stressors amongst older adults following disasters and a book chapter on Older Adults and Terrorism. Jessica recently graduated and completed her internship at the VA Northern California. She will be returning to the San Francisco VA Medical Center for the PTSD Postdoctoral Fellowship where she will begin her career as a trauma psychologist and researcher.

Dr. Charissa Hosseini received her Ph.D. from Palo Alto University in 2019. She completed her predoctoral internship at the Jerry L. Pettis Memorial VA Medical Center. Dr. Hosseini is completing her Post-Doctoral Residency at the San Francisco VA Medical Center within the Geropsychology fellowship. Starting September 2020 she will be a staff psychologist within the general mental health clinic at the VA Northern California Health Care System. Her research interests are regarding aging and trauma, she has published book chapters, a journal article, and has presented several poster presentations at national conferences. Additionally, she is an active member of Society of Clinical Geropsychology, as evidenced by her involvement as Chair of the Communications Committee. 

Jennifer Schmidt received her Ph.D. degree in Clinical Psychology at Palo Alto University, specializing in the Trauma Area of Emphasis, in June 2019. Her clinical and research interests focus on trauma and mental health among adults and veterans. She completed her internship at the VA Illiana Health Care System and will start her postdoctoral residency with a PTSD emphasis at the Salem VAMC in 2019. Jennifer has previously worked at the San Francisco VAMC, VA Northern California Healthcare System, the Menlo Park VA, and the National Center for PTSD for practicum. Lastly, Jennifer is a student member of APA divisions 12 (Clinical Psychology) and 56 (Trauma Psychology).
